Support
The quickest way: open the app, go to Menu, About, Report a problem. The app writes a report of its own version, your robot model and its recent errors. You read it, then choose Email or Copy. It never contains your robot’s address or login, and nothing is sent until you tap.
What to include
- What you did, in numbered steps.
- What you expected, and what happened instead.
- How often it happens.
- Your app version, iOS version, robot model and Valetudo version.
- A screenshot or screen recording, if it helps.
Please leave out your robot’s address and login.
Common questions
The app cannot find my robot. First open the robot’s Valetudo web page in Safari on the same phone. If it does not load there, the app cannot reach it either. If it loads, enter the address by hand, and allow Local Network access when iOS asks.
It works at home but not away from home. The app must be able to reach your robot’s address. Connect your phone to your home network with a VPN, such as WireGuard or Tailscale, and check that the robot’s Valetudo web page loads in Safari. RoboCommander cannot set up a VPN.
It says my robot is not supported. RoboCommander works only with robots that run Valetudo. A robot that still runs the maker’s software will not connect.
It says my Valetudo is out of date. RoboCommander supports Valetudo 2023.03.0 and later. An older release still connects, but some features may be missing, and below 2021.12.0 the map does not load. Update Valetudo from its web page, then reopen the app.
A control is missing. The app shows only what your robot supports. If your robot has the feature in the Valetudo web page and not in the app, tell me.
I bought Pro on another device. Open the Pro page in the menu and choose Restore Purchases.
Is it the app or Valetudo? Open the same page in the robot’s Valetudo web page in Safari. If it fails there too, the problem is in Valetudo or the robot. If it works there and not in RoboCommander, write to me. Please do not ask the Valetudo team about RoboCommander.
What do you not cover? Setup, rooting, flashing, MQTT and Wi-Fi belong to Valetudo. Its documentation is the place to start.
Where do I change Wi-Fi, timers or map settings? In the Valetudo web page. RoboCommander covers daily cleaning only.
